e-Council: on-line services for your Council
With good support from the MoLG we held a successful Seminar on ICT for Councils on September 3rd 2010. When local authorities in the country decided to Computerise, an experienced partner who would hold their hands firmly was needed. Flametree was that hand.
A Web-site is one component of ICT for Councils. ICT should be used to improve revenue collection and ipmrove service delivery for the Councils customers. We have developed a model website for Kenyan Councils based on a CMS -Content Management System technology, highly customizable, user friendly and deployable with very minimal technical effort and lead time.
We help Councils develop an ICT Plan which is a road map for the Councils ICT investments. In addition to the ICT Plan, GIS is another component of ICT a powerful boardroom decision tool in allocation of projects and monitoring development in the Council.e-Publishing is about profiling and promoting your Council using a book.e-Councillor is a solution to promote ICT in the civic wing. This will help the political wing appreciate ICT and empower them to make informed decisions when passing ICT related budgets.
Our focus is on identifying the three stake holders in Councils - residents, visitors and investors. Our portfolio include Municipal Council of Machakos, Town Council of Taveta, County Council of Makueni, County Council of Nakuru among others.
