Kenya Coffee Producers Association required an open source management information system for computerizing Kenyan coffee cooperatives. We have developed for them an opensource MIS called CoopWorks (Ver 4.0), and did their website afresh with a content management system. Their choice of Flametree is a strong statement of our foothold in the ICT field in agriculture.

e-Council: on-line services for your Council

With good support from the MoLG we held a successful Seminar on ICT for Councils on September 3rd 2010. When local authorities in the country decided to Computerise, an experienced partner who would hold their hands firmly was needed. Flametree was that hand.

2nd World Congress of Agroforestry

The Worldagroforestry Congress needed a congress website and an online platform for Scientists world over to review abstracts in preparation for an international Congress held in August 2009. Flametree built a robust Congress paper workflow management solution and a congress website with a content management system.

Increasing Competitiveness in SBOS through ICT

GIS for County Council of Makueni

County Council of Makueni (CCM) - is a national champion in the Kenyan local government system in using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in service delivery and for development promotion. CCM is the first Local Authority to establish a Geographic Information System (GIS) service for the Council and its stakeholders. CCM has recognized that Local Authorities all over the world are using GIS.

CoopWorks V4.0 - Computer System for Farmer Associations

CoopWorks, a member MIS for has been integrated with digital weighing scales and an electronic member cards to boost trasparency and accountability in farmer producer coops. It is an open source with no license fee requirements with integrated digital scales and electronic member cards.

eSchoolPlan

eSchoolPlan® combines the latest in technology to provide a web based school management system with support of SMS service and email facilities. It has all the modules that school administrators need and teachers integrated in one system. eSchoolPlan contains library, administration, fees management, payroll, HRM, accounting, examination, electronic student ID cards among other modules.

CoopAfrica is a regional technical cooperation programme supporting the Cooperative Movement in Africa. Its purpose is to grant support to cooperative societies through training and capacity development in ICT. The partners include the Cooperative College of Kenya, Kenya National Federation of Cooperatives and the Cooperative Bank of Kenya with Flametree Systems Engineering Ltd being the facilitator. The program runs for one year starting on 1September 2009 to October 2010.

The project e - Council - www.ecouncil.or.ke is a public-private partnership undertaking to enable municipal councils to introduce electronic services into their council operations to benefit residents, other stakeholders like investors, tourists and visitors and municipal staff.
